Peter watched her curiously, then started suddenly as she swore, eyes following the trail of red down her hand. He quickly grabbed a towel from beside the sink, wrapping it around her bleeding hand and pressing down to help stop the flow. The claws had startled him more than anything. He hadn't seen anyone with a mutant power like Wolverine's. "What was that?" He asked, brow creased in confusion. He lifted his hands for a moment to reposition the towel, making sure to press down right by her knuckles where the blades had appeared.

Rick was freaked out a little by the smell of blood, almost dropped the cream cheese. "Are you all right?" He walked over with a lame question. "That was freaky! Rolled the wrong dice?"

Athena managed to unclench her jaw, though her hand stayed clenched firmly into a fist. "That was supposed to be Wolverine's claws, but I think some of my mom came out...", the peirced girl said. Her mother was Laura Howlett; also known as X-23, and had also been part of Athena's immitations' point of reference. "I wouldn't have done it if I thought it would hurt!", she said, this time mostly to herself.
Taking Peter's hand off of the towel, she re-applied the pressure, never liking to be dependant on anyone, although she knew he was being nice. Her eyes flickered to Peter, then to Rick. "Thanks, Peter. And, yeah, I guess I did roll the wrong dice.", she added, to Rick's question.

"It's okay." Peter said, seeming to recognize her want for independence and backing off. "Just... don't try it again?" He suggested, glancing at his hands which now had small flecks of blood on them. He flipped on the warm water at the sink, scrubbing his hands clean.

Rick picked up a knife and sliced the bagel in a clumsy manner. "You sure you don't need bandages or something?"

Athena made a face, and shook her head. After another moment of concentration, she felt the 'claws' slide back in then dissapear. The holes in her hand didn't, however; a bandaid or two would probably be needed. "I won't try that again, I swear.", she told Peter, before turng her head to look at Rick, holding the sloppily cut bagel in his hand, and the knife in the other. "Maybe I will need something.", she said, grimacing and washing off her hand with the same water that Peter had used for his own.

Peter flipped the water off when she was done, wiping his hands on his pants since the towel had recently been used as a tourniquet. "Should I get you something...?" He asked, offering to go to the infirmary to get her some bandages and antiseptic. Even though she had some people's powers, she apparently didn't have all of them. Wolverine's claws, or something like, but not his healing ability.

Rick reached in his large pockets looking for some bandaid he thought he took. The bagel crumbs on his hands messed up his pockets a little, but he did manage to find some bandaids with paw prints. "These will do?"

"Those'll work, Rick - but thanks, Peter.", Athena said, taking the proffered bandaids from Rick. Using both hands - and with minimal wincing - she got the two bandaids on. Now it just looked like she might have punched a wall or something equally stupid, instead of having tried to imitate her mother whilst cutting a bagel.

Rick had to admit, he was trying to impress Athena for an unknown reason. Even to himself. He practically swallowed the sliced bagel in his hand, then turned into a dog, Bloodhound. He muffled in his dog form: "I'd better go find a shirt before I catch a cold. See you later, Athena, Peter." He had to get out before he did anything else to "impress" Athena. He remembered both of their scent, so the "see you later" can be easily done. ((Well, I let Rick go cause I want to play with Nightcrawler XD ))

+ Haha, okay. Feel free to bring the 'fuzzy dude' in. ^^ +
"Alright." Athena smiled slightly and nodded, kind of weirded out by the sudden swallowing and changing of Rick. And a bit worried; it probably was just luck that that hunk of bread hadn't gotten stuck in the shape shifters' throat as he had changed. She turned to the sink, flipping the faucet on again, and tried to wash out the faint blood stain that was on said rag.

Kurt Wagner teleported into his room, fanned away the smoke with his hands. He turned off the hologram, no need to hide in the school. He just came back from a trip to Germany, in hopes of finding his family and the circus. He failed. He knew he would because his mother would never forgive him for killing her (real) son, Stefan, but he couldn't give up. He had been gone for a month or so now, and he kept his return a secret to surprise the others. Rapid teleportation made him hungry. He decided to "bamf" into the kitchen for some snacks, and maybe scare whoever was in there. It would probably be some new kids, he heard there had been a rush of new students. He easily pictured the kitchen in his head and teleported. With the smell of brimstone and purple smoke, he appeared right beside Peter in the kitchen. So close that if it was closer, he would teleported into Peter. He was a little bit frightened by that, but managed to fight back the whimper. He wouldn't want Peter to know that he could have...well. "Surpriz, mein freund!" He said, a little delayed.

Peter was startled by Kurt's sudden transportation, so soon after Rick's departure, frowning deeply and waving away the awful smell that accompanied the blue man's teleports. It had been a month since the German mutant had been here, and in that month he had forgotten how much Kurt liked to startle the other people in the mansion by teleporting right in front of them. "I'll 'mein fruend' you into the next life if you don't stop doing that." Peter growled jokingly, oblivious to the fact that Kurt had almost teleported into him.

Kurt felt guilty for the mistake he could've made, but it didn't stop him from talking back. "In dat case, Petah, I'd do it more ofden." He turned his head and saw the other girl in the kitchen, apparently a new face. "Hallo, young lay-dy. Kyert Vagnah aht yewr sahvice." He bowed like a gentleman, his time in Germany gave him a heavier accent.

Athena had jumped about a foot in the air when Kurt had bamphed in. Then - adding to her confusion at the time - she had slipped on the rag that had fallen onto the floor. Which is why she was still staring, from the floor, at the two older mutants as they talked and threatened each other in their opposing accented voices (though Peters' was noticeably less so, especially compared to the furry males'). Rubbing the back of her head, the peirced girl hurriedly stood when Kurt turned to greet her, wondering just why the Fates had seemed to align it so she met as many people as possible at the worst possible time.
"Um." That was so not intelligent, the slightly tanned teen admonished herself. She tried again; it had taken her a few moments to get over Kurts' rather bizzare appearance. (She was not a religious type of person, so there would be no Holy Water throwing or cross-making.) It had also taken her a few seconds to figure out what Kurt had been saying; between his accent and his fangs, she had a hard time of it. "Athena DeCosta, at yours.", the peirced girl replied, a light blush spreading over her face as he bowed. It was sweet, and rare - though boys here seemed to have more manners than most, she noted, rememebering Peters' politeness and Rick's helpfullness.
